Located at the Newport entrance to Port Eliot Estate is the exquisite Soane designed stable courtyard where you will find The Stables Cafe, Shop & Elephant Bar as well as a small antique shop, dog groomers and book binders. The stables are one of the more impressive examples of any country house in Cornwall with its castellated towers, symmetry and particularly opulent windows.
The Stables Cafe offers up superb coffee & cake as well as breakfasts, lunches and the occasional evening meals. The ajoined Elephant bar captures a stunning cosy atmosphere with a great selection of draught beers & ciders as well as a whole host of great cocktails and soft drinks. The magical shop brings together treasures to enthuse, evoke and enliven. Offering an inspired curation of products, where the unusual, sustainable and delicious sit alongside plants, gifts and delicacies.
Much of the stock is Cornish, and from small producers and makers. Alongside inspirational books, you will find the best organic CBD, zero waste products, premium alcohol and so much more.
The cafe and shop are open Monday – Saturday 9am-4pm and Sunday 10am-2pm.

A beautifully crafted banquet table, gorgeous walnut counter and stylish lighting create the perfect relaxed stage for breakfast or brunch. With a menu that changes daily to embrace local produce and the season’s best, flavour and global influences inspire the plant-based individual dishes and shared platters. Seating spills out into the warmth of the Stableyard where you can relax amongst the abundance of a flower and herb container garden. Specially curated dining experiences and supper clubs are held regularly and this utterly unique venue is available for hire.
