Sunday 27th March 2016; Port Eliot Easter Egg Hunt and Trail
Sadly, due to recent storm damage and the loss of a number of trees on the estate, the annual Port Eliot Easter Egg Hunt and Trail in the gardens, on Sunday 27th March, has been cancelled.
After a clear up, the majority of the gardens and grounds have been re-opened. Visitors are asked not to cross any of the cordon tape that has been put in place for their safety.
Incidentally, Port Eliot House very much remains open and welcomes you to come and see the wonderful John Soane Drawing and Dining Rooms, famous Round Room, amazing Sir Joshua Reynolds and Van Dyck works plus many accumulated treasures of the house's long history and, of course, chocolate Easter eggs for all on arrival!
Saturday 30th April 2016; East Cornwall Hunt One Day Event

Saturday 7th May 2016; Port Eliot Dog Festival and Whippet Tea Party
The Port Eliot Dog Festival celebrates its success in the delightful grounds of Port Eliot. Last year, over seven hundred people and hundreds of dogs came along and we aim to welcome even more this year.
For dogs there will be some wonderful classes to enter, including an old favourite ‘Dog who most looks like their Owner’. And, of course, a highlight of the annual event is Roo and Lark's Whippet Tea Party where an invitation for lunch and canapés is extended to all whippet friends.
For humans there will be an array of fabulous artisan food traders, The Shellfish Pig and Harding & Scoots Coffee to name a few, plus cream teas, other refreshments and fantastic live musical entertainment later on in the afternoon.
The Dog Festival is once again being held in support of the incredible charity Children's Hospice South West.
Entry to the wonderful grounds is £4.00 per adult, Children under 11 free, and £1.00 per class entry in the dog show. All proceeds to the CHSW.
Friday 13th - Saturday 14th May 2016; Port Eliot at Night Event
On Friday 13th and Saturday 14th May, Port Eliot will be lit by candlelight and filled with music.
Come and join us for a night that will cast you back to a time before electricity when the Lords and Ladies of the past would hold lavish banquets and dances for hundreds of guests. We are very excited to have the fantastic local composer, Paul K Joyce, playing piano in the Round Room (complete with 40ft 'riddle mural' by Robert Lenkiewicz) and the esteemed guitarist, Russell Bell and fabulous local singer Izzy Berncastle.
On Friday night only, the wonderful St Neot choir, Canoryon Lowen will also be performing at various points throughout the evening and all through the house - the basement, the drawing room, the entrance hall to name a few. Port Eliot’s knowledgeable stewards will be available to regale fascinating tales of the house if requested.
Perhaps you would rather soak up the atmosphere with a glass of wine at Port Eliot’s fancy pop-up bar.
House Open 19.00 – 22.00 hrs. Adults £10, Children £5, Concessions £8
This is a very popular event in the Port Eliot calendar, so to avoid disappointment, we recommend purchasing tickets early, either over the phone, in person (during house opening times only) or online click here

Thursday 28th - Sunday 31st July 2016; Port Eliot Festival
The four day Port Eliot Festival is a magical combination of books, food, music, art, comedy, fashion, films, flowers, wildlife and water, which defies categorisation. Held in the spectacular grounds of the ancient Port Eliot estate in southeast Cornwall (the oldest continually inhabited dwelling in the UK), the festival provides inspiration and surprises for all ages at every turn. Over the years new areas have been added, broadening the appeal to younger audiences and others who might never have considered coming to a literary festival before – including the immensely popular Cabaret Tent (where you’ll dance late into the night) the Caught by the River stage and The Hullabaloo.
