ACCESS

A new vehicle entrance has been created from the B3249 in order to avoid extra traffic within the village of St Germans; please follow the direction signs.

The grass car park is located on top of a hill with outstanding views over the Lynher Estuary and is approximately 500m from the house.

Registered drivers with disabilities

There are 5 parking spaces reserved for the vehicles of registered drivers with disabilities beside the house.  Please enter the car park in the normal way and report to the ticket booth where you will be directed to the house.

Mobility vehicle

A mobility vehicle is available for those who require assistance between the house and the car park.

Accessibility assistance

Access within Port Eliot for those with mobility difficulties is restricted by a flight of stairs.  If you require assistance please ask on entry to the house and an alternative point of access will be provided.

Walking in the grounds

Visitors may walk within the grounds and designated areas of the park.  The paths within the grounds are rough and uneven and for those with mobility problems access is restricted to the first section of the river bank where there is a viewing point near the Boat House.  However, for the adventurous there is a route following the grass bank along the estuary to see a view of the viaduct.

All visitors using the paths are asked to take care and to wear the appropriate footwear.
